Abstract

Indonesia's location along the Ring of Fire makes it prone to earthquakes. Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon caused by human activity or natural events resulting from the Earth's rotation. The Strong Motion Accelerograph is a vibration monitoring method that can be applied to dams. This research used accelerometer equipment from GEOSIG. The purpose of this study was to analyze 24-hour accelerometer recordings at three locations (Crest, Foundation, and Free Field) at the dam. The results showed that peak acceleration values were recorded at the three locations along the X, Y, and Z axes. The highest peak acceleration value was recorded at 0.0051g on the Y axis from the north, recorded between 00:43:07 and 01:43:07 WIB at the Foundation location. Peak acceleration values recorded on March 18, 2023, over a 24-hour period ranged from 0.0008g to 0.0051g.
