Potensi Trichoderma sebagai Agen Antagonis Terhadap Fusarium oxysporum pada Tanaman Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.)
Keywords:
Thrichoderma sp., Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium wilt, tomato plantAbstract
Efforts to increase the production of tomato plants are constrained by problems mainly related to soil fertility and plant damage due to disease, one of the diseases that is often found in tomato farming areas is plant wilt due to the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. This study aims to provide information regarding the control of Fusarium oxysporum by Trichoderma so that it can be identified and applied in an effort to increase tomato production. Control that can be done is by utilizing environmentally friendly biological agents, namely Trichoderma, the Trichoderma fungus can reduce the percentage of Fusarium wilt by up to 100%. This is due to competition for food materials between Trichoderma and Fusarium in the soil. Trichoderma will wrap around the hyphae of Fusarium oxysporum and produce the enzyme chitinase which can break down the cell wall of the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. The application of Trichoderma mushrooms on a wider scale can be done by propagating using organic materials, such as compost, manure, and agricultural waste.
